Life member

I have been singing for as long as I can remember and competed at Urdd Eisteddfods at the age of five.  I enjoy all sorts of music and I particularly enjoy singing Welsh Folk Songs.  I have been a member of the Choir for many years having been encouraged to join by one of its founder members the late Dr Lloyd Davies who encouraged me to join when he did a house call when he was a local GP.  When he realised I was Welsh he also assumed I could sing!  I have enjoyed many happy years with the Choir since and have been Secretary and Choir Rep before my elevation to the dizzy heights of Chairman.

As the longest serving (i.e oldest) life member of the GBS, I liken myself to a decent bottle of red wine. I hope I have matured well - OK maybe an acquired taste but vintage 1951 was a very good year for amateur soprani!. (Sorry Johann, I did my best and I didn't cost the society one penny.)
