| Judith Leigh ~ Soprano
My parents met as singers in light opera and for years we were all members of the church choir . I have since sung in university choirs, the London Choral Society, the Waynflete Singers of Winchester, and other choral societies in South Wales, including Llandaff and Monmouth. As a family we've lived in Wales since 1974 and when the Eisteddfod came to Cardiff, I, as a Welsh learner, was allowed to join the choir, kindly helped out by Welsh speaking friends. I once tried a singing evening class but hated singing alone - I definitely appreciate surrounding voices . Dr Lloyd Davies, GBS founder, was our neighbour here in Tregaer and his widow Ann Griffiths the harpist is a good friend. My occupation is the conservation of historic buildings and sites. For half the week I head east and work for English Heritage in the Border Counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire, and Worcestershire. The other half of the week I turn west to work as the Wales Officer for SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings – the amenity society for pre-1720 buildings).
