Mairwen Large - Soprano
I have been a member of a choir ever since I can remember; at my home church in Cardiff, Mid Glamorgan Youth Choir, Warwick University Chamber Choir (where I studied piano and singing), Bristol Bach Choir and the GBS for the last 12 years. Stepping in as relief accompanist and conductor from time to time is fun. I also play keyboards and sing with my church worship group.
I won first prize as a soloist at the Cardiff Eisteddfod, aged 8 and my solo career has declined from there. Undeterred, I still embarrass my children by bursting into song in the street. I work in the Welsh Medium Nursery in Abergavenny, where I can sing without inhibition.
