Pat Evans  ~ Contralto

Born and brought up in Tredegar. Sometime left handed conductor of the Grammar School Choir. During nursing training at Kings College Hospital, sang in the Hospital Chapel Choir and the London Hospitals' Choir. After marriage, enrolled in the Alexandra Choral Society, based in London N10. During that time, had 3 daughters, 1954, 1956, 1959; now all married. In 1983, moved to Essex and sang in the Dovercourt Choral Society: Conductor, PatrickMcCarthy.

Came to Abergavenny in 2003, my first husband having died in 1997. Married John Evans in 2004.

Other interests include: 8 grandchildren; church and postcard collecting.
