| Roz Jones ~ Soprano
I am a Geordie, but, apart from two years as a GP in the Lake District, I have lived in Wales since 1961. I am now retired and live with my partner on a dairy farm. As well as cows and sheep, we have four working dogs, twenty cats and all sorts of poultry and about fifteen peacocks. in the family, we have between us, nine children and sixteen grandchildren. At school, I sang in the choir and took part in several radio broadcasts. Both my sisters went on with their singing, but as a widow with a young family and working full time as a doctor, I did not have the time. However, I eventually joined the Welsh Hospital Choir for its annual Carol Concert in St David's Hall, Cardiff. I enjoyed this so much that I joined the GBS! I thoroughly enjoyed this and have sung in every concert since I joined. I have made some very good friends. My family are at last remembering not to ring me on a Thursday evening, which is sacrosanct! My other hobbies include reading, gardening, keeping fit at the gym and learning languages. |
